How Much Does an AI Voice Agent Cost in 2026 (Real Prices)

Every missed call has a price, even if you never see it anywhere. If one in five was actual work and the average job is a few hundred euros, the calls slipping away each month add up to more than you think. With that in mind, the question 'how much does a voice agent cost' answers itself better. Here are the real ranges in the Spanish market.

An AI voice agent for answering calls costs, in Spain, between 100 and 300 euros a month as a subscription, depending on call volume and the features you need: scheduling, or calendar and CRM integration. If you prefer a custom project instead, the upfront setup runs from a few hundred to a few thousand euros.

How much does an AI voice agent cost?

It depends on whether you're looking for something standard or something built to your exact needs. There are two main formats in the Spanish market, and it's worth understanding the difference before comparing prices between providers.

  • Monthly subscription: between 100 and 300 euros a month. Covers call handling, and depending on the plan, features like booking appointments or connecting to your calendar and CRM.
  • Custom project: an upfront setup payment (a few hundred to a few thousand euros) for deeper integration with your systems, plus a maintenance fee or a per-minute cost at high volumes.

No serious provider will give you a fixed price without knowing your call volume or what you want the agent to handle. If someone quotes you blind, be suspicious.

How does it compare to having someone answer the phone?

This is the comparison that actually matters when deciding. A part-time receptionist costs between 800 and 1,200 euros a month in Spain, and can only handle one call at a time, within working hours. An AI voice agent handles several calls in parallel, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

These are market ranges observed in Spain, not Soul IA's own rates: each provider sets its own price based on its technology and support.

This isn't a one-to-one replacement of the person. It's another layer: the AI takes on the repetitive calls (hours, availability, first screening, booking) and frees up your team for what genuinely needs a human touch.

What makes the price go up or down?

The 100 to 300 euro range isn't random. It moves based on these variables:

  1. Call volume and monthly minutes. More calls, more minutes used, higher-tier plan.
  2. What the agent handles. Sharing office hours isn't the same as booking directly into your calendar, and that isn't the same as qualifying a caller before handing them off to a human.
  3. Integrations. Connecting to your CRM, calendar, or booking system adds complexity compared to an agent that only answers with fixed information.
  4. Number of languages. Handling calls only in Spanish is not the same as handling Spanish and English, for example.

That's why a clinic that only needs to share office hours pays less than a business that wants the agent to qualify the caller and book them directly into the team's calendar.

What's usually included in the price?

In most market subscriptions, the price covers call handling within a set number of minutes or calls per month, plus the features you've contracted (scheduling, CRM, information). If you go over the contracted volume, it's common to be charged extra per additional minute. In custom projects, the upfront setup covers the design and integration with your systems, and on top there's usually a maintenance fee or that per-minute cost at high volume.

What determines the price in your case?

The final price doesn't come from a table, it comes from your business: how many calls you get a month, what you want the agent to resolve without human intervention, and which systems it needs to talk to. Two businesses in the same sector can land in very different spots on that range depending on these answers.

If you want to know where your specific case would fall in that range, we can go over it in a short call: we'll assess your call volume and what you actually need automated.
